Orthodox and Lutherans Gather at Hellenic College Holy Cross to Strengthen Dialogue and Ecumenical Relations
Over the past week, the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at HCHC had the privilege and pleasure of hosting the Preparatory Committee of the International Lutheran-Orthodox Dialogue at Hellenic College Holy Cross. The purpose of this meeting was to set the agenda for the upcoming plenary meeting, which will focus on synodality and primacy in the church on the local, regional, and universal levels. Successful Inaugural Conference of the Orthodox Canon Law Society of North America in Brookline, Massachusetts
The inaugural conference of The Orthodox Canon Law Society of North America (OCLSNA) took place on October 18–19, 2024 at the Maliotis Cultural Center located on the campus of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, 50 Goddard Avenue, Brookline, MA. The conference included 17 presentations by Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Catholics, and others who gathered to provide papers embodying current research on all aspects of canonical studies and for discussions of canonical praxis in a professional setting. From 25-27 October, His Grace Bishop Joachim of Amissos, PhD, participated in the 50th Annual Byzantine Studies Conference which was held in New York City at the Fordham University’s Lincoln Center Campus, Columbia University, and The Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY).
